Very pretty and shiny belt. The length is above the ankles. It has an elastic waistband that pulls on and off. It would be easier if it had a closure at the waist because we often wear it over a skirt or another piece of clothing.

I love this sequin belt to use for practice. It is very shiny, comfortable, and stretchy. The fringe is made of thread like that used for graduation tassels and it is heavy enough that it does not cling. It shows the motion when you move. The length is nice, about knee length on me. The look of this is cute and I even contemplated the idea of wearing it as a fashion accessory over a skirt.

I think all hip scarves should have stretchy material at the top! I am a bigger-hipped belly dancer and I had my doubts about whether this would fit, since I have a few hip scarves that just aren't long enough (you would think it would be easier to find bigger hip scarves since the belly dance community welcomes all shapes and sizes and has no shortage of curvy ladies). I was pleasantly surprised at how stretchy this was. I'm sure it would look a little better on someone who didn't need as much stretch, but it was lovely with my other purple accessories in my most recent show. Such a good deal, too! I'm tempted to buy more in different colors....

This fringe skirt is great!! The wide sequin elastic waist band is very flattering and looks great over any skirt. When you spin and twirl, the fringe flies out encircling you, and it looks AMAZING. The only complaint I have, which still isn't that bad is that I wish the fringe was more tightly packed into the belt. It seemed to space out a bit more than I would have liked, but it still looked really neat. Also, if the sequins hit your waist, they were kinda itchy. All in all, though, GREAT product for an incredible price. Buy it!!
